Iranian Foreign Minister Holds Talks With Pakistan and Six Countries Amid Regional Tensions

Tehran/Islamabad: Iran has intensified its diplomatic outreach following recent military developments in the Gulf region, with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi holding discussions with senior officials from several countries, including Pakistan.

According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Araghchi held telephone conversations with the foreign ministers of Pakistan, France, Türkiye, Qatar, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia to discuss the latest regional situation and ongoing security concerns.

The ministry stated that Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir also participated in the conversation involving Pakistani officials. During the discussion, both sides exchanged views on recent developments and the broader security environment in the region.

The diplomatic contacts come at a time of heightened tensions following Iran’s claims of carrying out drone and missile operations against American-linked targets in Kuwait and Bahrain.

Iranian authorities have described the actions as a response to what they called US aggression, while regional and international observers continue to closely monitor the evolving situation.

Officials involved in the talks emphasized the importance of communication and consultation as countries seek to prevent further escalation and maintain stability across the Middle East.
