Pakistan Invites Chinese Companies to Invest in Textile, Agriculture and Mining Sectors

Beijing – Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, has invited major Chinese companies to invest in Pakistan during his official visit to China, aimed at strengthening economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

During the visit, the commerce minister held important meetings with representatives of several leading Chinese firms. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in the textile, agriculture, mining, e-commerce, and food sectors.

Both sides discussed increasing Chinese investment in Pakistan’s textile industry and promoting the transfer of modern technology to improve industrial productivity and exports.

Jam Kamal Khan emphasized the importance of Chinese support in improving agricultural production, particularly through the supply of high-quality seeds and advanced farming techniques.

Talks were also held on expanding investment in Pakistan’s mineral sector and increasing exports of Pakistani copper, lead, zinc, and other valuable minerals to China.

Pakistan and China further agreed to enhance cooperation in digital trade and e-commerce, while improving market access for Pakistani exporters in the Chinese market.

The discussions also included plans to increase exports of sesame, agricultural goods, food products, meat, and poultry items from Pakistan to China.

Officials described the business engagements during the commerce minister’s China visit as an important step toward strengthening bilateral trade and long-term economic cooperation between the two countries.
