Neighbuors are our first priority, Says Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi

Tehran(27 April 27, 2026) Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has stated that neighbouring countries remain Iran’s top priority, while also expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by Omani hosts.

In a statement on Monday, Abbas Araghchi said that discussions held in Oman included ensuring safe transit through the state of Hormuz. He added that important talks were also held with Omani officials on bilateral relations and the overall regional situation.

It is worth mentioning that a meeting took place a day earlier between the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
