President Approves Pakistan Chief Justices’ Visit to Russia for International Legal Forum
Islamabad, June 19, 2026 — President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the participation of Pakistan’s top judicial officials in an upcoming international legal conference in Russia.
The approval was granted following advice from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding the attendance of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court at the 14th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.
The event is scheduled to take place in St. Petersburg, Russia, from June 24 to June 26 and is expected to bring together legal experts, judges, policymakers, and representatives from various countries to discuss developments in international law and judicial cooperation.
With the president’s authorization, both chief justices will represent Pakistan at the forum and participate in discussions on legal and judicial matters of global importance.
The St. Petersburg International Legal Forum is regarded as one of the major international platforms for dialogue on legal reforms, judicial systems, and international legal collaboration.
