Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif Holds Phone Conversation with New Zealand Counterpart, Discusses Regional Stability
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif received a phone call on Tuesday from New Zealand’s Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Christopher Luxon, during which the two leaders discussed regional stability.
According to report, the phone conversation between Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Prime Minister Christopher Luxon focused on bilateral relations and the current regional situation. The two leaders engaged in a cordial and friendly discussion, during which the evolving situation in the Middle East was also addressed.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif briefed Prime Minister Luxon on Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts and initiatives to promote peace and reduce tensions in the region. He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to fostering stability through diplomatic means.
Prime Minister Luxon commended Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic efforts, especially its engagement with Washington and Tehran, and expressed his best wishes for the success of these mediation efforts.
During the call, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked Prime Minister Luxon and reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to promoting peace, dialogue, and stability in both the region and globally.
Both leaders agreed to continue working together to strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and New Zealand, expressing satisfaction with the friendly and cordial ties between the two countries. They also praised the positive role played by the Pakistani community residing in New Zealand.
At the conclusion of the conversation, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif extended an invitation to Prime Minister Luxon for an official visit to Pakistan. The two leaders also agreed to remain in close contact in the coming days.
