Washington: US President Donald Trump is unhappy with the latest proposal from Iran regarding the resolution of the ongoing war that has been raging for two months.
According to media reports, a US official stated that Iran’s ceasefire proposal is diminishing hopes for resolving the conflict. The official hinted that Iran’s recent offer does not provide clear terms regarding Iran’s nuclear program, which would remain suspended until the war is over and maritime disputes in the Gulf are resolved.
The US official, speaking on condition of anonymity, emphasized that President Trump is displeased with Iran’s proposal, as he believes nuclear issues should be included in the discussions as well.
White House spokesperson Olivia Wells also stated that the US is clear about its red lines and is determined to bring an end to the ongoing conflict with Iran.
