Iran Warns It May Increase Uranium Enrichment to 90% After Any New Attack
Tehran: Iran has warned the United States and Israel that any future military attack on Iranian territory could push Tehran to consider raising uranium enrichment levels to 90 percent.
The warning was delivered by Ebrahim Rezaei, who said in a statement on social media platform X that Iran could adopt stronger nuclear measures if faced with renewed aggression from Washington or Tel Aviv.
According to Rezaei, the possibility of enriching uranium to 90 percent would be reviewed by the Iranian parliament, and any final decision would be made in line with the country’s national interests.
The statement comes at a time of rising tensions across the Middle East, with growing concerns over Iran’s nuclear program and regional security. In recent months, disputes involving Iran, the United States, and Israel have intensified, while developments around the Strait of Hormuz have continued to attract global attention.
