Israeli Airstrike in Southern Lebanon Kills Two, Injures Several
At least two people have been killed in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon, according to official reports.
The strike targeted the town of Choukin, where multiple casualties were reported following the attack. Lebanon’s state news agency said several others were injured, including the town’s mayor.
Authorities also confirmed that the airstrike caused significant destruction to residential buildings, leaving parts of a neighborhood heavily damaged.
In a separate development earlier in the day, Israeli warplanes carried out another strike in the Nabatieh District, hitting the town of Adchit. Additionally, a drone attack targeted a vehicle along the Kfarjoz–Nabatieh Road, resulting in material losses.
Reports further indicated renewed Israeli artillery shelling on the outskirts of several towns, including Froun, Ghondouriyeh, and Wadi al-Slouqi. Heavy machine gun fire was also reported in areas surrounding Ramyeh and Qouzah. The escalation highlights ongoing tensions along the لبنان-Israel border, with repeated exchanges raising concerns about further instability in the region
