Trump Says Iranian Proposals Received, Warns Military Action Still Possible
Trump says Iran’s proposals are under review — but warns strikes are still possible.
U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated a tough stance on Iran, warning that further military action remains a possibility despite receiving proposals from Tehran.
In a statement shared on the Truth Social platform, Trump said he has been briefed on potential deal offers from Iran and will review them soon. However, he expressed skepticism about their viability, stating that it is difficult to imagine the proposals being acceptable.
The U.S. president emphasized that Washington has “unlimited capacity” for negotiations with Iran, but cautioned that stronger measures could be taken if necessary.
Referring to U.S. strategy in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump described it as a “friendly blockade” aimed at maintaining regional balance.
He also criticized Iran’s leadership, suggesting a lack of coordination and clarity in decision-making, pointing to inconsistent statements from officials.
In a significant development, Trump announced plans to withdraw more than 5,000 American troops from Germany, calling it a major shift in defense strategy.
Trump has previously made it clear that the United States will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, with Washington’s policy continuing to revolve around maximum pressure and the possibility of further action.
