Saudi Arabia Expresses Concern Over Regional Tensions, Backs Pakistan’s Diplomatic Efforts
Jeddah (Web Desk): Saudi Arabia has voiced serious concern over rising military tensions in the region, urging all parties to exercise restraint and work toward de-escalation.
A cabinet meeting chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah reviewed the current regional situation. The cabinet emphasized the need to reduce tensions and avoid further escalation.
According to media reports, the meeting reaffirmed support for Pakistan’s mediation efforts aimed at resolving the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy. The cabinet stressed the importance of a political solution to prevent further instability in the region.
The session also highlighted the need to ensure safe and uninterrupted navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, given its global importance for trade and energy supplies.
In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry backed Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives, calling for a peaceful resolution that would help avoid further tensions and instability.
Additionally, the cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding between Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Justice and Pakistan’s Ministry of Law to enhance cooperation.
