Ceremony to Mark First Anniversary of Marka-e-Haq Victory to Be Held at GHQ Tomorrow
Rawalpindi: A special ceremony will be held at General Headquarters on Sunday to mark the first anniversary of the victory of Marka-e-Haq.
The dignified event is scheduled to begin at 8:40 AM at GHQ in Rawalpindi. Syed Asim Munir, serving as Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces, will attend the ceremony as the chief guest.
According to reports, Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu and Naveed Ashraf will also participate in the event. The military leadership will lay floral wreaths at the martyrs’ memorial to pay tribute to fallen soldiers.
Smartly turned-out contingents from all three armed forces will present a guard of honour during the ceremony. Field Marshal Asim Munir is also expected to address the gathering.
The occasion is aimed at reaffirming the country’s resolve to respond strongly to any act of aggression against Pakistan.
