Iran Says Nuclear Talks Aim to Protect National Rights, Not Surrender

Masoud Pezeshkian has said that ongoing negotiations are intended to defend Iran’s national rights and interests rather than submit to external pressure.

Speaking on the country’s diplomatic efforts, the Iranian president stated that surrendering before adversaries has never been part of Iran’s history. He emphasized that Tehran’s engagement in talks is solely focused on safeguarding the nation’s interests through diplomacy.

Pezeshkian also criticized what he described as the continued illegal blockade of Iranian ports despite the ceasefire, calling the restrictions a violation of previous commitments and agreements.

Meanwhile, Kazem Gharibabadi warned that the deployment of warships near the Strait of Hormuz could further intensify regional tensions. He said the increasing military presence around the strategic waterway would only deepen the ongoing crisis instead of helping restore stability.
