WASHINGTON – U.S. President Donald Trump has indicated that a potential agreement between the United States and Iran could be signed by the end of the weekend or early next week.

Speaking to a prominent American news outlet, Trump said recent comments from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi were encouraging and reflected a positive atmosphere surrounding the ongoing negotiations. He also claimed that Iranian officials had privately acknowledged concerns regarding the spread of inaccurate information about the talks.

Reports from U.S. media suggest that Iranian authorities have already approved the proposed agreement at senior levels. However, according to those reports, final authorization from Iran’s highest leadership may still be pending.

The latest developments come after Trump recently criticized reports published by Iranian media regarding the contents of the proposed peace arrangement. At the time, he described the leaked details as inaccurate and insisted that the information circulating publicly did not match the terms being discussed between the two sides.

Negotiations between Washington and Tehran have intensified in recent weeks, with both governments signaling that progress has been made toward a possible understanding aimed at reducing tensions and establishing a framework for future cooperation.

Earlier, Trump shared a statement from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on social media, in which the Iranian diplomat said that the Islamabad Memorandum had reached an unprecedented level of consensus compared to previous rounds of discussions.

While officials from both countries have expressed optimism, no final agreement has yet been formally announced. Observers are closely watching developments over the coming days as negotiations appear to be entering a decisive phase.
