Iran Seizes Oil Tanker Over Alleged Attempt to Disrupt Oil Exports
Iranian military forces have reportedly seized an oil tanker accused of attempting to interfere with the country’s oil export operations.
According to Iran’s semi-official news agency Tasnim News Agency, the vessel has been identified as the Ocean Koi.
The report claimed that the tanker was carrying a shipment of Iranian oil and was allegedly trying to exploit the regional situation to disrupt Iran’s oil exports and damage the interests of the Iranian nation. However, no additional operational details were disclosed.
Iranian media further stated that the tanker was intercepted in the Gulf of Oman before being transferred toward Iran’s southern coastline.
The incident comes amid heightened regional tensions and growing concerns over maritime security and energy shipments in the region.
