PM Shehbaz, Nawaz Sharif Hold Key Meeting on Political and Economic Matters
Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Nawaz Sharif at Jati Umra on Saturday to review the country’s current political environment and discuss important administrative affairs.
Sources said the two leaders exchanged views on national political developments, government performance, and preparations related to the upcoming elections in Gilgit-Baltistan. The prime minister also informed Nawaz Sharif about the government’s latest decisions concerning fuel prices.
During the discussion, Nawaz Sharif stressed the need for immediate measures to ease public difficulties, saying that public welfare must remain the central focus of the government’s policies.
He also highlighted the importance of controlling inflation, stating that stabilizing prices is essential for delivering real relief to citizens. The PML-N leadership, he added, should adopt a coordinated approach in both the federal government and Punjab to effectively address the problems faced by the people.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also attended the meeting.
