Trump Warns Iran to Accept Ceasefire Deal or Face “Difficult Consequences”

Washington: US President Donald Trump has once again warned Iran to move quickly toward a ceasefire agreement, saying failure to do so could lead to serious consequences for Tehran.

The warning came shortly after Trump returned from an official visit to China, a trip that reportedly ended without any major breakthrough regarding efforts to ease tensions with Iran.

Speaking to reporters, Trump stressed that Iran should agree to a peace arrangement “as soon as possible” if it wants to avoid further escalation. He added that time for diplomacy was running short and suggested that Tehran was approaching a critical moment.

The US president also stated that Washington was no longer willing to tolerate extended delays in negotiations, urging Iranian leaders to finalize an agreement before the situation worsens.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that Tehran has received messages from the Trump administration regarding the possibility of renewed talks.

However, Araghchi said Iran remains deeply skeptical about Washington’s intentions. He claimed that previous rounds of diplomacy were followed by military actions against Iran, making it difficult for Tehran to trust American commitments to a peaceful resolution.

The Iranian foreign minister further argued that past incidents have raised doubts over whether the United States is genuinely committed to resolving disputes through diplomatic channels.
