CENTCOM Claims 136 Commercial Vessels Turned Back During Strait of Hormuz Maritime Operation

Washington: The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has stated that maritime enforcement operations against Iran remain underway, with heightened monitoring activities continuing in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to CENTCOM, a total of 136 commercial vessels were redirected during the operation in the strategically important waterway. The command also claimed that nine ships were rendered inoperable after allegedly violating restrictions imposed in the area.

US military officials said American naval and air assets are maintaining a continuous presence along key regional sea lanes to monitor maritime traffic and safeguard security.
