Iran Will Not Leave Any Attack Unanswered, Foreign Minister Araghchi Warns US

Tehran, June 10, 2026 — Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a strong warning to the United States, saying that Iran will not tolerate threats to its security and sovereignty and will respond to any act of aggression.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, Araghchi said Washington continues to test Iran’s resolve despite what he described as setbacks on the battlefield. He stressed that the Iranian people and the country’s armed forces remain fully prepared to defend the nation against any form of military pressure.

Addressing the United States directly, the Iranian foreign minister stated that if Washington wishes to avoid further confrontation, it should reduce its military presence in the Middle East. He added that Iran’s armed forces would not allow any attack, provocation, or threat to go unanswered.

Araghchi also pointed to the history of the Persian Gulf region, arguing that foreign powers have repeatedly faced difficulties when attempting to impose their influence through military means. According to him, past events demonstrate that outside intervention has often failed to achieve its intended objectives.

The remarks come at a time of heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington, with both sides exchanging strong political and military messages in recent days.

Political analysts believe the latest comments reflect Iran’s determination to maintain its defensive posture and signal that Tehran views recent US actions as a challenge to regional stability.

As concerns grow over the possibility of further escalation, international observers continue to call for restraint and diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing a wider conflict in the Middle East.
