PM Pays Tribute to Civilian Martyred While Preventing Terror Attack Near Khushal Garh Bridge
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid tribute to Liaqat, the brave civilian who sacrificed his life while helping prevent a major terrorist attack near the inter-provincial area of Jand and Khushal Garh Bridge close to Kohat.

According to the Prime Minister’s statement, Liaqat acted responsibly after noticing a suspicious individual in the area. When he stopped the man and asked for identification, the suspected terrorist detonated explosives, resulting in Liaqat’s martyrdom.
The Prime Minister said Liaqat’s courage and quick response helped avert a potentially devastating tragedy and saved many innocent lives. He described the fallen civilian as a symbol of bravery, patriotism, and devotion to duty whose sacrifice would always be remembered by the nation.
Shehbaz Sharif stated that fearless citizens like Liaqat represent Pakistan’s collective determination against terrorism. He added that the nation would never forget the sacrifices made by such courageous individuals who stand alongside security forces and law enforcement agencies in the fight against extremism.
The Prime Minister also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to eliminating terrorism and said the people of Pakistan have consistently defeated hostile attempts to destabilize the country through unity and resilience.
He concluded by praying for the elevation of Liaqat’s status and expressing condolences and patience for the bereaved family.
