Field Marshal Asim Munir Meets Abbas Araghchi, Discusses Iran-US Negotiations

Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran to discuss ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States along with key regional security matters.

The meeting focused on diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the region, promoting peace and stability, and supporting dialogue related to security in West Asia.

The visit comes as Pakistan continues its mediation efforts between Tehran and Washington in an attempt to help ease ongoing tensions and encourage a peaceful resolution through diplomacy.

According to Iranian media reports, Field Marshal Asim Munir is also expected to hold meetings with other senior Iranian officials during his visit to discuss regional peace initiatives and other important strategic issues.

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also currently in Iran and has been engaged in separate meetings with Iranian authorities regarding regional developments and diplomatic cooperation.

Field Marshal Asim Munir’s visit is being viewed as part of Pakistan’s broader diplomatic engagement aimed at supporting peace talks and strengthening regional stability.
