Iran Warns Regional States Against Allowing US or Israeli Military Use of Their Territory
Tehran, June 10, 2026 — Iran’s Foreign Ministry has warned neighboring countries against permitting the United States or Israel to use their territory for military operations, stating that any such cooperation would be viewed as a hostile act against Iran.
In a statement shared on social media, the ministry strongly condemned recent US military actions, describing them as a violation of international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter. Iranian officials argued that recent developments had been used as a justification for military operations against the country.
The ministry said Iran’s armed forces had exercised their right to self-defense in response to the attacks and claimed that military targets linked to the United States in the region had been struck.
According to the statement, Iran reserves the right to respond to any threat it considers harmful to its national security. The ministry also called on the United Nations to hold the United States accountable for actions that it says have increased tensions in the region.
Separately, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi issued a strong warning through a social media post, saying that the United States should leave the region if it wishes to avoid further confrontation.
Araghchi stated that despite what he described as repeated setbacks, Washington had chosen to challenge Iran’s determination. He added that Iran’s armed forces would not leave any attack or threat unanswered and would respond decisively to any future military action.
The remarks come amid rising tensions across the Middle East following recent exchanges between Iran and the United States. International observers continue to call for restraint and renewed diplomatic engagement to prevent a broader regional conflict.
