Saudi Arabia Shoots Down Three Drones Entering Airspace from Iraq
Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has intercepted and destroyed three drones that entered its airspace from Iraq, according to the Saudi Ministry of Defense.
The statement was issued through ministry spokesperson Turki Al-Maliki, who confirmed that the drones were detected and neutralized after crossing into Saudi territory.
The spokesperson stated that Saudi Arabia reserves the right to respond at a suitable time and place against any threats targeting the kingdom’s security and sovereignty.
According to the ministry, Saudi forces are fully prepared to take all necessary operational measures to protect the country, its citizens, residents, and critical infrastructure from hostile actions.
The incident comes amid rising regional tensions and increasing concerns over drone and missile activity across the Middle East.
