Iran Claims Missile Strikes on Key Israeli Air Bases in Response to Radar Site Attacks

Tehran: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for missile strikes targeting two major Israeli air bases, saying the operation was carried out in response to recent attacks on Iranian radar facilities.

In a statement released on Monday, the IRGC said it had launched missiles toward the Nevatim and Tel Nof air bases, which are considered among Israel’s most important military aviation centers. The statement described the action as a direct response to Israeli strikes on radar installations located in different parts of Iran.

Iranian officials stated that several radar sites were targeted during the Israeli operation, prompting Tehran to authorize a retaliatory response. The IRGC said the attacks on the Israeli bases were conducted shortly after the decision was made.

Nevatim and Tel Nof play a significant role in Israel’s air force operations and are used for a range of military missions. However, Iranian authorities did not provide details regarding the extent of the damage allegedly caused by the missile strikes.
