Pakistan Aims to Expand Bilateral Cooperation With Iran Across All Sectors: Ishaq Dar
Islamabad: Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation with Iran in all major sectors, including trade, regional connectivity, and people-to-people relations.
The statement came during a meeting between Ishaq Dar and Pakistan’s newly designated ambassador to Iran, Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, held in Islamabad.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the deputy prime minister highlighted the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and brotherly ties shared by Pakistan and Iran. He emphasized that Islamabad is determined to further broaden cooperation in diverse areas of mutual interest.
Dar said Pakistan is keen to enhance collaboration with Tehran in trade, regional cooperation, and public engagement, adding that both neighboring countries enjoy long-standing relations based on mutual respect and shared cultural values.
He also stressed the importance of continued communication, close coordination, and mutual understanding to maintain positive momentum in bilateral ties between the two countries.
The Foreign Office spokesperson added that Ishaq Dar also underscored Pakistan’s constructive and responsible role in promoting regional peace, dialogue, and stability.
