US Officials Hold Key Meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Senior United States officials held an important meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in security, trade, and critical technologies as both countries continue strengthening their strategic partnership in the Indo-Pacific region.
The meeting was attended by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio along with senior American officials, where both sides reviewed ongoing cooperation and explored new opportunities to deepen ties between Washington and New Delhi.
According to statements shared after the meeting, discussions focused on defence collaboration, economic partnerships, emerging technologies, and regional security initiatives aimed at supporting a “free and open Indo-Pacific.”
US officials described India as a vital strategic partner and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the two democracies in addressing regional and global challenges.
The talks also highlighted growing collaboration in critical sectors including artificial intelligence, semiconductor development, digital infrastructure, clean energy, and advanced defence technologies.
Over recent years, relations between the United States and India have expanded significantly through defence agreements, technology partnerships, and increased trade and investment cooperation.
Analysts believe the latest meeting reflects Washington’s continued focus on strengthening alliances in the Indo-Pacific region amid evolving geopolitical competition and regional security concerns
