Trump Holds Emergency Security Meeting as US Weighs Iran Options

Former US President Donald Trump reportedly chaired an emergency national security meeting at the White House amid rising tensions involving Iran and the broader Middle East situation.

According to reports, the high-level meeting was attended by senior American officials, including the US Vice President, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, and top military commanders. During the session, participants reviewed multiple military and diplomatic options related to the ongoing Iran crisis.

Discussions reportedly focused on possible military operations, regional security risks, and diplomatic efforts aimed at preventing further escalation between Washington and Tehran.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Trump claimed that there had been “positive developments” regarding Iran and suggested that the conflict could be brought to a rapid conclusion. He repeated Washington’s long-standing position that Iran must never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

Trump also made several strong remarks regarding Iran’s military capabilities and leadership structure, saying the United States would continue taking decisive action if necessary.

Earlier, while speaking to reporters during a visit to the construction site of the White House ballroom project, Trump argued that Iran could pose a serious threat to Israel if Tehran were ever to obtain nuclear weapons.

He stated that the US cannot permit Iran to become a nuclear-armed state and warned that time for diplomacy may be running out. Trump added that Washington may need to deliver what he described as a “major blow” to Iran if tensions continue to rise.

The former president further indicated that another military strike on Iran remains a possibility, suggesting that action could potentially occur within days or early next week if circumstances change.

The latest statements have added to growing concerns over regional instability, while global powers continue calling for diplomatic engagement to avoid a wider conflict in the Middle East.
