Shakira Unveils Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Anthem Featuring Burna Boy
Colombian pop star Shakira has unveiled the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup titled “Die Die,” featuring Nigerian music sensation Burna Boy.
The 49-year-old singer shared a promotional video from the iconic Maracanã Stadium, showcasing dancers dressed in the colors of various national football teams. The official track is scheduled for release on May 14.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by Mexico, the United States, and Canada from June 11 to July 19.
The teaser video also featured official match balls from the 2006, 2010, and 2014 World Cups, highlighting Shakira’s long association with football’s biggest tournament. Among them was her globally popular song Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), which served as the official anthem for the 2010 World Cup.
Shakira has previously delivered several memorable World Cup performances, including hits like Hips Don’t Lie and La La La (Brazil 2014) during past tournament celebrations.
