Iran Warns US Against Targeting Oil Tankers

Tehran: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a stern warning to the United States, saying American military bases and strategic positions across the region would face retaliation if Iranian oil tankers come under attack.

According to Iranian state media, a senior commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force stated that Iran’s missile systems and advanced drone units are fully operational and prepared to respond immediately to any hostile action.

The statement comes amid growing tensions in the Middle East, although indirect diplomatic communications between Tehran and Washington are reportedly continuing in an effort to prevent further escalation in the region.

Iranian officials emphasized that any attempt to disrupt the country’s oil shipments or threaten its maritime interests would trigger a decisive military response.
